This is the newest wider version of the rear Sprinter SumoSpring helper springs for the 3500 van and RV 2wd. SumoSprings are a micro cellular urethane product designed to reduce sway, rocking, and enhance load carrying ability. They can also help to decrease hard bottoming of the factory suspension system on fully loaded vehicles, but your best gains will be in added stability. These springs are a progressive system that increase load holding capacity as the product compresses. Softer riding than many other helper springs, with easy installation and no maintenance. They work much like an air bag system, but with thousands of tiny air bubbles that never leak out. Helps with both jounce and rebound as they absorb energy on compression. Many other products can increase rebound which gives you the hard launch feeling that throws you in the air. The Sprinter SumoSprings mount using the factory bump stop brackets and they make direct contact with the axle tube on the bottom end. This gives you load assist right from the start and can also help stabilize side to side movement or rocking. No modifications or drilling are needed. One of our first choices in suspension upgrades for the Sprinter van, RV, or cab chassis. Why add more weight with traditional steel helpers or assist springs, the SumoSprings are light weight yet heavy duty. Never Exceed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
- Product capacity is 900 lbs at 50% compression on standard product and 1400lbs at 50% compression on the heavy duty version
